I feel like I don’t ask too much of you all (I don’t know if I do or not but regardless I’m going to ask for your help).

One of my really good friends from high school started a petition to Lift the Lifetime Restriction on Gay Men from Donating Blood. I am not a man nor am I a gay man, but this is something I believe in. He, much like the rest of the gay male community, did not choose to be gay (just like I did not choose to be heterosexual). So, why should his blood be less valuable than a straight man or woman’s blood? I don’t think it’s fair, so I signed this petition. If you agree with me, I would really appreciate if you signed this. Obviously people disagree on tons of things, so It’s okay if you don’t agree with it. But I’m asking the very open-minded people of tumblr to sign this petition if you believe in it. Thank you.
